FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the next steps if I want to buy a Sumapark Labradors puppy?

If you would like to proceed in getting a puppy from Sumalabs we recommend you contact us as soon as possible to put your name on our waiting list because our waiting list fills very quickly because we are only a very small family kennel. If we do not have anything available at the time of enquiry and our waitlists are full, we are happy to refer you to another reputable breeder.

Do we need to pay a deposit?

Yes, Once the puppies are born and a few days old we will call you and confirm we have a puppy available for you, from there a deposit is required for us to “hold” the puppy for you. This deposit is non- refundable if you change your mind.

When do puppies go to their forever homes and what do you provide?

Puppies go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. All our puppies have pedigree papers and are registered on the limited register or the main register on request with DogsNSW. Puppy goes to its new home with a Puppy pack full of detailed information regarding its diet, exercise, vaccination, travel, pet insurance and lots more. They will also receive eight weeks free pet insurance and a toy/blanket that smells like their mother and litter mates.

What health clearances do Sumapark Labradors do?

All our dogs hold all relevant health certificates as recommended by the National breed councils. For Labradors this includes hip and elbow certificates, and Full DNA Labrador breed profile checks, we supply the new puppy owners with copies of these certificates for the sire and dam in your take home Puppy Pack folders.

Can we choose our puppy?

Our preference is to get to know the new owners and find out what you are looking for in your puppy by asking some questions and with this information it helps us determine what we believe will be the best matched puppy for you, we call it “Puppy Matching”, we have found this process to be very rewarding for both the new owner and puppy. However, we are happy to allow you to choose your puppy as well. This
does depend on how many puppies there are in the litter and your position on our waiting list. After Vaccination and microchipping at 6 weeks when it comes time to choosing your puppy, we will tell you a little about each puppy to ensure your puppy’s personality matches the family’s requirements.

Can we visit the puppies?

Yes, Visits to view the litter are usually arranged when the puppies are 6 weeks of age. By then puppies have had their first vaccination and we are able to tell the new puppy owners a little bit about each puppy’s temperament. By appointment only.

Will my puppy be vaccinated and micro chipped when I pick it up?

Yes, all our puppies will have been micro chipped, received their first vaccination and thoroughly vet checked before they go to their new homes. They will have been wormed every two weeks from two weeks of age and had flea control administered at 7 weeks of age.

Do you transport puppy’s interstate?

Yes, we can provide you with a list recommended transport companies for your puppy. We will talk to you to understand what you are looking for in terms of temperament and other traits from your puppy. We will then “Puppy Match” a suitable puppy from the litter to your family.

So if you would like a big bundle of chocolate mischief that you and your family will absolutely adore, then please contact us! Please no time wasters, we want loving homes for our quality puppies.
